I went there to see a friend play some local music. It was last minute so I was flying solo. The staff was so friendly and made me feel very welcome. I have been back a few other times and the food is consistently served hot, tastes wonderful, and the service is great! Definitely one of my favorite places.
I've eaten there a few times. The outdoor deck (now closed for the season) is nice. Even though it's close the traffic, it's not loud. They have a wonderful selection of pizza's and their hot sandwiches, like the steak and cheese sub, are hardy and delicious. The owners are Greek so there is a flair of Greek (feta, olives etc) in several dishes.
I'd rate this a negative, but it won't allow me to.
This evenings visit was a big disappointment thanks to a very rude hostess. Having visited 84 before and enjoying good food tonight this individual ruined what was supposed to be nice dinner out with my daughter before heading back to college. We arrived and headed to the back deck which had several tables open. We selected a table away from the wait station for a quiet dinner and conversation but we're quickly intercepted and told they were keeping that table open for 4 people, not 2. We were offered a table near the stairs next to the exit and wait station. My daughters chair would have been in them walkway with very little room for comfort. We expressed our displeasure politely and advised we be spending $ elsewhere. Both my daughter and I are associated with another restaurant in town and were shocked to be advised of their seating policy. We would NEVER advise a customer we didn't want their business because they could not fill the table. Rookie mistake. 84, keep this up. Other establishments in town will enjoy the $ from other disappointed patrons. Sad.
Love this place! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is so friendly. The owner is always around chatting with the patrons
My family of six was tuned away on Saturday night, because we had children with us. They told us at 5:30 they didn't have room for six people and all of their tables were reserved for 6pm, upstairs. Dad and I knew right off that this was a lie and they just didn't want kids running around in their place. As we walked out many couples walked in, we waited a few minutes in the parking lot, no one ever got turned away, none of them had any kids either. Classic... I will not go there EVER again. And I will pass the word around that this is - NOT KID FRIENDLY!
